Pet Portraits

I am delighted to offer custom portraits of your pet in pastels.
To create these portraits I work from photos. I prefer to have more than one photo, preferably high res, so that I can really ‘get to know’ the animal I am working on and also to cross reference colours etc to ensure accuracy. However, I know that in some cases a pet has passed away with very few photos left or a pet refuses to cooperate when he/she sees a camera (I have one that does that!), so am always willing to work with whatever reference material you have. I aim to capture the spirit of your pet and to that extent I do keep an open line of communication whilst I am working asking questions when required and giving regular updates on my progress. I have completed pet portraits and commissions for clients all around the world – if you require a price in a specific currency please just ask!
I work on Clairefontaine pastelmat paper generally measuring 30 x 40cm for a single pet. Your portrait will be sent mounted ready to frame (framing can be arranged upon request).

Map Art
from £170 framed
I create animal artwork on vintage OS maps to commission - these make very unique gifts or keepsakes.
In most cases I will source the map and either work from a client's own photo reference or source my own depending on the animal required. The artwork is in mixed media (usually watercolours and pastels) and the finished piece is framed in a dark brown wooden frame (or to the client's preference).
Prices for framed map art start at £170 which will typically be for a finished piece measuring approximately 44 x 38cm (although the map will be cut to best show both the animal and the area required).
